3%2B3d-5=3d-2 Distribute.


3d-2=3d-2 Combine like terms on the left side.


3d=3d-2%2B2 Add 2 to both sides.


3d-3d=-2%2B2 Subtract 3d from both sides.


0d=-2%2B2 Combine like terms on the left side.


0d=0 Combine like terms on the right side.


0=0 Simplify.


Since this equation is ALWAYS true for any d value, this means d can equal any number.

So there are an infinite number of solutions.
