You can put this solution on YOUR website!

%28p%5E2-9%29%2F%28%28p%2B3%29%5E2%29 Start with the given expression.

%28%28p-3%29%2A%28p%2B3%29%29%2F%28%28p%2B3%29%5E2%29 Factor p%5E2-9 to get %28p-3%29%2A%28p%2B3%29.

%28%28p-3%29%2A%28p%2B3%29%29%2F%28%28p%2B3%29%28p%2B3%29%29 Factor %28p%2B3%29%5E2 to get %28p%2B3%29%28p%2B3%29.

Highlight the common terms.

%28%28p-3%29%2Across%28%28p%2B3%29%29%29%2F%28cross%28%28p%2B3%29%29%2A%28p%2B3%29%29 Cancel out the common terms.

%28p-3%29%2F%28p%2B3%29 Simplify.

So %28p%5E2-9%29%2F%28%28p%2B3%29%5E2%29 simplifies to %28p-3%29%2F%28p%2B3%29.

In other words, %28p%5E2-9%29%2F%28%28p%2B3%29%5E2%29=%28p-3%29%2F%28p%2B3%29
