Question 374150: I do not understand why Log base 2 to the number = 0. (why Log(2) = 1)

When I tried to solve it I did this: [ ]= superscript (exponent)
y=Log(2) 1

2[y]= 1 -----> 2[y] = (2)[?]<----- me trying to find a common base

I'm stuck here as in my textbook it says the next step is to find a common base. But how do I find a common base between 2 and 1?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2^0=1 so log[2](1)=0
