A = LW
(x+3)(x-2)= 84
x^2+x-6 = 84
x^2+x-90 = 0,factor and equate to zero to find the value of x.
x = 9--acceptable value
x = -10---absurd, since there is no negative value for any magnitude.
for L = x+3 = 12 inches----ans
W = x-2 = 7 inches-----ans
