let x = probability that San francisco does not play in the next Super Bowl.
then 9x = probability that San francisco plays in the next Super Bowl.
x + 9x = 1, or 10x = 1, or x = 1/10. Therefore the probability that San Francisco plays in the next Super Bowl is 9/10.
