Draw a right angled triangle with the right angle to the left (i did it this way, no rule that you should too -just for this explanation)
then, your hypotenuse = 3.25miles
your height is 1800 ft
3.25miles = 3.25*1.6 Km = 3.25*1.6*1000m = 3.25*1.6*1000*3.3ft = 17,160 feet
The tangent of the base acute angle = +1800%2F17160+
i dont have a calculator handy to do this, but you're one step from the answer.
