Solve using the elimination method. Show your work. If the system has no solution or an infinite number of solutions, state this.
7x - 6y = -88.5
-28x + 24y = -354

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
to eliminate a variable , the variable has to have the same (or opposite) coefficient in two equations
so that when the equations are subtracted (or added) the variable is canceled out

multiplying the 1st eqn by 4 ___ 28x - 24y = -354
adding this to the 2nd eqn will ELIMINATE the x variable

find the value of y , then substitute back to find the value of x

OOPS...good thing to notice ___ multiplying the 1st eqn by 4 GIVES the 2nd eqn
this means the equations are the same , so there is no unique solution (infinite number)
