Question 372640: WHat is the graph for this equation?

f(x)= x^2+6x+8
I'm not sure if the quadratic equation is used for this or factoring?. i used h=-b/2a to get h,k = (-3,-1) but i'm not sure if that is what i am supposed to do. The graph is supposed to be a parabola i believe. I need to find the points for it. Please help!

Plug in x values and obtain y values using the equation.
x=-3, y=x%5E2%2B6x%2B8=9-18%2B8=-1%29
.
x=-2, y=4-12%2B8=0
x=-4, y=0 by symmetry since x=-3 is the line of symmetry.
.
.
x=-1,y=1-6%2B8=3
x=-5,y=3 by symmetry.
.
.
x=0,y=0%2B0%2B8=8
x=-6, y=8 by symmetry.
