You can put this solution on YOUR website! For the Arithmetic sequence 3x + 5y , 4x + 2y, 5x- y, 6x – 4y.....
a.Find d _________ b. Find the 40th term _____________________
To find "d" subtract a term from the next term.
For example d=(4x+2y)-(3x+5y)= x-3y
The 40 term is (1st term)+(39)(d)
a(40)= (3x+5y)+(39)(x-3y)
a(40)=42x-112y
