Question 37234: Hey, I'm really having trouble with this problem...I can't figure out which step to do first!
(((5-4w+12=-2(3w-8)+w)))
I know how to do the Distributive Property, and I simplified the expression down to [5-4w+12=-5w-16], but after that I am at loss for what to do next. I really need an answer by tomorrow morning, if possible, and I would appreciate it SOOOOOO much! Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! GOOD START BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE 5-4W+12=-5W+16 YOU HAVE (-16)
THIS YIELDS -4W+7=-5W+16 OR W=9
PROOF(((5-4*9+12=-2(3*9-8)+9 OR 5-36+12=-54+16+9 OR 29=29
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Whatever you do on the Left Hand Side, do the same on the Right Hand Side
All you have to do is add the Like terms and simplify keeping the above tip in mind
[5-4w+12=-5w-16]
Adding like terms
5+12 =7
Adding +4w on both sides
17 = -5w-16 +4w
17 = -w-16
Adding +16 on both sides
33 = -w
Multiplying both sides with a Negative Sign
w = -33
