The median from the vertex angle bisects the base forming two triangles. The base angles are equal and the long sides of the two formed triangles are equal because the original triangle was isosceles. So by SAS the two formed triangles are congruent and therefore the two angles formed at the vertex by the median are congruent by CPCT.
