You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi,
Let x represent the time it takes to fill the pool together
per Hour is the Equalizer
1/18 + 1/12 = 1/x Multiplying each term by 36x so as all denomnators = 1
2x + 3x = 36
5x = 36
x = 7.2 hrs Or 7hr 12min is the time it takes to fill the pool together
checking our answer
2/36 + 3/36 = 5/36 = 1/(72/10) = 10/72 = 5/36
