I am guesing that the solid formed is a cylinder. The volume of a cylinder can be found from the formula V = area of the end (a circle) times the height of the cylinder.

V = area x height
V = (pi x r^2)(12.8)
V = (3.14 x 49)(12.8)
V = 1,969.4 cubic inches

I hope that is right?
