Question 370557: Please help me solve this problem. I need to know the steps to solving it, not just the answer for x.
log3(x-1)=log3 4 Both the 3's are small but I couldn't figure out how to type it into this correctly. Thank you. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! log3(x-1)=log3 (4)
----
If you take the anit-log of both sides you get:
x-1 = 4
Then:
x = 5
