How old are the children now?
Let P = the age of Peter now
P + 6 = the age of Laura
20 -8 = the age of Lola
= 12
Lola is 12 years old
So the sum of Peter & Laura ages is 38-12=26
P + (P+6) = 26
2P = 20
P = 10
Peter is 10 years old
P+6 = 16
Laura is 16 years old
