Question 369590: Solve for x... 0.30x + 6y = 300
I'm usually good at figuring out the value of x when x is the only variable, but I start to become confused when more variables are added to the equation. Please help me by showing how you did the problem, not just the answer- thankyou so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You can only solve for x in terms of y since you only have one equation.
0.30x%2B6y=300
Multiply both sides by 10.
3x%2B60y=3000
3x=3000-60y
x=%283000-60y%29%2F3
highlight%28x=1000-20y%29
