Question 369161: A catering service offers 9 appetizers, 11 main courses, and 9 desserts. A banquet committee is select one of each item. How many ways can this be accomplished? Can you please show me how to work these problems? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
For each of the 9 appetizers there are 11 ways to select the entrée for 9 times 11 equals 99 ways to select the appetizer and entrée. Then for each of those 99 ways, there are 9 ways to select the dessert, 99 times 9 = 891.
