You can put this solution on YOUR website! write an equation in standard form of a line pasing through (-4,5) and perpendicular to the line 2x+3y=6.
(-4,5) and perpendicular to the line
2x+3y=6.
3y=-2x+6
/3
y = -2x/3 +2
compare with y = mx +b
m= (-2/3)
the slope of required line will be negative reciprocal since the line is perpendicular
m= 3/2
the equation of line will be
y-5=3/2(x-(-4))
y-5 = 3/2 (x+4)
*2
2(y-5)=3(x+4)
2y-10=3x+12
2y=3x+12+10
2y=3x+22
/2
y = 3/2 * x +11
