x^2 + 2x - 48 = 0

Writing as a Product (x + ?)(x- ?)

Ask your self, what 2 numbers have a product of 48 and a difference of 2?

(x+8)(x-6) = 0

(x+8)=0

x = -8

(x-6) = 0

x = 6
