Solve your equation for in terms of everything else. When you have simplified everything, you will have an equation that looks like .

The value of , that is the coefficient on , is the slope. The value of , that is the constant term, is the -intercept.

Remember, if you end up with something that looks like , you need to write it as so that you get the sign on the intercept correctly.
