Question 367329: decide whether the pair pf lines are parallel,perpendicular,or neither

5x+3y=7
3x-5y=5

You can put this solution on YOUR website! First, I would define the rules: Parallel lines have the same slope; perpendicular lines have "egative reciprocal"slopes. Next, convert each line into the slope-intercpt formate y-mx+b.
5x+3y=7
3y=-5x+7
3y/3=-5/3x+7/3
So the slope is -5/3
.
.
3x-5y=5
-5y=-3x+5
-5y/-5=(-3/-5x)-5/5
y=3/5x-1
so, the slope is 3/5
.
.
Since the slopes are the "negative reciprocals" of each other, they are __________________?
