4n-36+2=12n+14
4n-34=12n+14
add -12n to both sides
4n-12n-34=12n-12n+14
-8n-34=14
add 34 to both side
-8n+34-34=14+34
-8n=48
divide by -8
-8n/-8 = 48/-8
n=-6

4n-34 = 12n + 14,
-34 - 14 = 12n-4n,
-48 = 8n,
