Question 365050: please help me.
what is the solution to 9 divided by 3-2i?
Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 9/(3-2i)
Mathematicians do not like to see the "i" in the denominator. So, multiply by the conjugate:
9/(3-2i) *(3+2i)/(3+2i)
[9(3+2i)]/[(3-2i)(3+2i)]
[27+18i]/[9-(2i)^2]
[27+18i]/[9-(2i)(2i)]
[27+18i]/[9-(4i^2)]
[27+18i]/[9-(-4)]
[27+18i]/[9+4]
[27+18i]/[13]
[27+18i]/[13]
[27+18i]/[13]
27/13 + (18/13)i (this is the most accurate answer)
.
However, you can put in decimal form (not as accurate)
2.077 + 1.385i
