You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3%2F8+%2B+5 You can rewrite this as:
5+-+3%2F8 Now change the 5 to the equivalent improper fraction of 40%2F8 then do the subtraction.
40%2F8+-+3%2F8+=+%2840-3%29%2F8 = 37%2F8 Now change this improper fraction back to a mixed number.
37%2F8 = 4 5/8 That's 4 and 5/8

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3%2F8+%2B+5
Remember, every whole number is a fraction with one as the denominator, so we have;
-3%2F8%2B5%2F1
Now you need LCD;
So leave the first fraction as it is, and lets make the second fraction with a denominator of 8;
-3%2F8%2B30%2F8
Now we can subtract the numerators;
27%2F8
Hope you understand
