You can put this solution on YOUR website! hari is twice as old as his son. twenty years ago, he was four times as old as the son.find the present age of each
Solution:Let the age of hari = h
and the age of son = s
hari is twice as old as his son------>h = 2s
twenty years ago...
h-20 = 4(s-20)(plug in h = 2s from the equation above )
2s-20 = 4(s-20)
2s-20 = 4s-80
4s-2s= 80-20
2s= 60
s= 60/2 = 30
so son's present age is 30 years
and hari's present age is 2* 30 = 60 years
You can put this solution on YOUR website! son = s years old,
hari = 2s years old.
Now 4(s-20) = 2s - 20.
4s - 80 = 2s - 20,
2s = 60, the age of hari,
s = 30, the age of the son.
