You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the number of nickels she has = x =$0.05 x (when converted to dollars)
then she has three times as many quarters as nickels
so the number of quarters = 3x= 3*$0.25x= $0.75x(when converted to dollars)
0.05 x + 0.75x = 1.60
0.80 x = 1.60
x = 1.60/0.80= 2
so the number of nickels shes has = 2
and the number of quarters = 3*2 = 6
