1mile =1760 yards so a round trip is double the mileage so at 4miles thats 4(1760)=7040 yards

Returning from school takes 30 minutes and the school is still 2 miles away.


A round trip totals 4 miles in this case.


The question is: How many yards in 4 miles?


There are 5280 feet in one mile.


For 4 miles, there are 5280 x 4 or 21,120 feet.


There are 3 feet in one yard.


So, 21,120 feet divided by 3 feet = 7040 yards.
