Let the two numbers be A and B.
A=9B
A%2BB=120
Substitute,
9B%2BB=120
10B=120
highlight%28B=12%29
Then from the first equation,
A=9%2812%29
highlight%28A=108%29

Let's say "x" to bigger number and "y" to smaller one..
x = 9*y >> we can call the bigger number as "9y"
Sum up them 9y + y = 10y = 120 >> y = 12 >> x = 9y = 108
