Question 362351: if two planes start at 9am at two airports which are 2100 miles apart and fly towards each other at average rates of 150mph and 200mph at what time will they pass each other? Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! speed of A = 150 mph
speed of B =200 mph
...
they are travelling towards each other
so speed = 350 mph.
distance = 2100 miles
time = 2100/350
time = 6 hours
they leave at 9.00 am
so they meet 3.00 pm
