You can put this solution on YOUR website!
train a is traveling at 60 mph and passes the train station at 2:10 pm. Train b is traveling at 80mph and passes the station at 2:22 pm. What time will train b catch up to train a?
..
train a - speed = 60 mph --- 2.10pm
train b -speed = 80mph ----2.22pm
...
time difference = 12 minutes
..
in 12 minutes train A has traveled 1/5*60 =12 miles
..
difference between speeds = 20 mph.
train b catches up 20 mph.
to catch up 12 miles it will take
12/20 = 3/5 hours
3/5 *60 = 36 minutes
...
Add 36 minutes 2.22
it will catch up at 2.58 pm
