You can put this solution on YOUR website! 30 marbles are to be divided into 3 bags so that the second bag has 3 times as many marbles as the first bag and the third bag has twice as many as the first bag. If X is the number of marbles in the first bag, find the number of marbles in each bag.
----
1st bag: x
2nd bag:3x
3rd bag:2x
---
Equation:
x + 3x +2x = 30
6x = 30
x = 5 (# in 1st bag)
2x= 10 (# in 3rd bag)
3x = 15 (# in 2nd bag)
