Hi, you have the right idea multiplying each term on both sides of the equation by 12 and you have
the correct answer: however 9x + 15 - 20x + 4 > 6 , the +4 was not written as a -4
3x + 5 5x + 1 1
______ - ________ > ___
4 3 2
3(3x + 5) - 4(5x+1) > 1/2
9x + 15 -20x - 4 > 6
-11x + 11 > 6
-11x > -5
Dividing by -11, yes! does change the sign of the inequality
x < 5/11
