let x represent the number of quarters. Then the number of nickels is (x+6)
5(x+6) + 25x = 480cents
5x + 30 + 25x = 480
30x = 450
x = 15 quarters
(15+6)= 21 nickels
checking our answer
5*21 + 25*15 = 105 + 375 = 480cents or $4.80
