You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the question is tell wether x and y show direct variation,inverse variation or neither
1.y=3x
Direct because as x increases, y increases.
Try it with x=2 and x=4.
2.y=2/x
Indirect because as x increases, y decreases
Try it with x=2 and x=4
3.x+y=7
While it is true that y decreases as x increases this
equation is not described as indirect variation. It
is neither.
4.xy=5
Indirect
