SOLUTION: Solve for x :log_2^x-_2 (x-1)=log_2^2 (log base 2 of x- log base 2 times x-1= log base 2 of 2) One more please: expand: log to the square root of x^5/ y^3 *Tonya

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+log%28x%29+-+log%28x-1%29+=+log%282%29+
+log%28x%2F%28x-1%29%29+=+log%282%29+

Now raise everything to power 2 to remove the log-base2:

+x%2F%28x-1%29+=+2+
+x%2F%28x-1%29+=+2+
x = 2(x-1)
x = 2x - 2
2 = x
-->x=2

+log%28sqrt%28x%5E5%2Fy%5E3%29%29+
+log%28x%5E5%2Fy%5E3%29%5E%281%2F2%29+
+log%28x%5E%285%2F2%29%2Fy%5E%283%2F2%29%29+
+log%28x%5E%285%2F2%29%29+-+log%28y%5E%283%2F2%29%29+
+%285%2F2%29log%28x%29+-+%283%2F2%29log%28y%29+
