Question 358711: Drawing 3 cards from a suit of 13 cards,
1 a) probability that all three cards are not face cards without replacement
  b) probability that all three cards are not face cards with replacement

Draw 3 cards from a deck of 52 cards,

2 a) probability of all three cards being red without replacement
  b) probability of all three cards being red with replacement.

please show me the calculations. My teacher said I got them wrong but I don't know why.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Drawing 3 cards from a suit of 13 cards,
1 a) probability that all three cards are not face cards without replacement
---
P(no face of 3) = 10C3/13C3 = 0.4196
------------------------------------------------
b) probability that all three cards are not face cards with replacement
P(no face of 3) = (10/13)^3 = 0.4552
-----------------------------------------------
Draw 3 cards from a deck of 52 cards,
2 a) probability of all three cards being red without replacement
P(3 red) = 26C3/52C3 = 0.1176
--------------------------------------
b) probability of all three cards being red with replacement.
P(3 red) = (26/52)^3 = 0.125
==============================
please show me the calculations.
