x= 22-y
x^2+y^2=250
..
plug value of x in the equation
(22-y)^2+y^2=250
484-44y+y^2+y^2=250
2y^2-44y+484-250=0
2y^2-44y+234=0

y^2-22y+117=0
x^2-13y-9y+117=0
x(x-13)-9(x-13)=0
(x-13)(x-9)=0
x= 13 OR 9
the numbers are 9 & 13
