Question 357428: Hey,
for each pair of revenue and cost functions, determine
i) the profit function
ii) the value of x that maximizes profit
a) R(x)=-x^2+24x, C(x)=12x+28

i got part i) it was, -x^2+12x+28 but i have no idea how to do part ii)
thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
i) P=R-C = -x^2+24x-(12x+28) = -x^2+24x-12x-28 = -x^2+12x-28

ii) x=-b/2a = -12/2(-1) = 6
Answer x=6
