You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi,
Let w represent te original width. Than 2w will be the original length
2*l + 2*w = P (all the way around the rectangle)
2*(2w+ 4")+ 2( w- 1") = 198"
simplify ans Solve
4w + 8 + 2w -2 = 198"
6w = 192"
w = 32"
Original triangle was 32" wide and 64" long
check your answer
2*68 + 2* 31 = 198
