distance = rate*time or time = distance/rate

*Let T be the total driving time to and from college

T= 300/r + 300/(r-10)

.

traveling to college at an average speed of 60 miles per hour.. 

T = 300/60 + 300/50

T = 5 + 6

T = 11 hrs
