Question 356456: Solve
5x^2 − 34x = 0
by factoring.
What is the smaller answer?
Well I realized that this answer had to be the difference of squares, but no whole number has the square root of 34. I would do quadratic, but I don't have a c, please help me, this is greatly appreciated.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x%5E2-34x=0
x%285x-34%29=0
Two solutions:

.
5x-34=0
5x=34

Also, you do have a c but it's equal to zero.
x+=+%28-%28-34%29+%2B-+sqrt%28+%28-34%29%5E2-4%2A5%2A0+%29%29%2F%282%2A5%29+
x+=+%2834+%2B-+sqrt%28+%28-34%29%5E2+%29%29%2F%2810%29+
x=%2834%2B-34%29%2F10
x%5B1%5D=0 and x%5B2%5D=68%2F10

Remember, the quadratic formula ALWAYS works.
