You can put this solution on YOUR website!
During a storm, two teams of scientists leave a university at the same time in vans to search for tornadoes. The first team travels east at 20 mph and the second travels west at 45 mph. If their radios have a range of up to 65 miles, how long will it be before they lose radio contact?
..
Team A east 20 mph
Team B west 45 mph.
...
since they are moving away from each other the effective speed will be 20+45 =65 mph
..
in 1 hour they will be 65 miles away from each other.
radio has range of 65 miles
time = distance/speed
time = 65/65
= 1 hour.
