Hi,
First Step: Ask yourself, what number multiplied by itself a number of times, would equal 125.
.
125 = 5*25 = 5*5*5
Exponential notation can be seen as just a way to write expression like 5*5*5 in a more compact form.
Using the exponential notation: you write the number, in this case 5, and then an "exponent"
to indicate how many times you multiply 5 by itself.

You want to multiply 5 by itself 3 times and hence
5%5E3 is the exponential form
For example: x^3 is short hand for x*x*x. If x=4, then x^3 = 4*4*4= 64
