Question 355818: Solve for the variable in each equation below. Show all your work. Provide a check for each answer. If a solution is undefined, state that in your answer.
x-2/x+1 = x+1/x-2
My work:
(x-2)^2 = x+1)^2
x^2-4x+4 = x^2+2x+1
Then simplify: 6x=3
x= 1/2
Is this correct? And if so, I NEED to know how to do the check for it.
Thanks so much! :)
