Question 354667: Graph the linear system and estimate the solution. Then check solution algebraically.
y= -3x - 13
-x - 2y = -4

y= -3x - 13 (already in slope intercept form)
-x - 2y = -4 .... y= -2x + 2 (slope intercept form?)
I graphed them and they met at (3, -4)
I checked my solution and it didn't match up.
What did I do wrong?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y= -3x - 13
-x - 2y = -4
y= -3x - 13 (already in slope intercept form) Yes it is!
.
-x - 2y = -4 ***
multiplying thru with (-1)
2y + x = 4
.
y+=+%28-1%2F2%29x+%2B+2
.
(-6,5) is the solution
