Question 354195: hello, i need a little bit of help with one of the problems in my algebra homework and here it is:
Write a formula for the surface are of the object in terms of its volume.
Sphere: V=4/3πr^3
S=4πr^2
Im really unsure how to start this problem, but if you could help me that would be great.
Thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi,
Knowing that S+=+4%2Api%2Ar%5E2, the first step would be to find 4%2Api%2Ar%5E2 in the Volume equation, so that S can be put in place of it.
.
V=+%284%2F3%29%2A+pi%2Ar%5E3+=+%284%2Api%2Ar%5E3%2F3%29=%28r%2A4%2Api%2Ar%5E2%2F3%29
.
S+=+4%2Api%2Ar%5E2

V+=%28r%2A4%2Api%2Ar%5E2%2F3%29+=+r%2AS%2F3%29
