SOLUTION: I tried this, can someone just let me know if I am right?
(x^-1+y^-1)/(x^-1y)
I cancelled out the x^-1, which left me with y^-1/y, which I think is (1/y)/(y)
Thanks!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! (x^-1+y^-1)/(x^-1y)
I cancelled out the x^-1, which left me with y^-1/y, which I think is (1/y)/(y)
Don't cancel terms; x^-1 is a term in the 1st parentheses.
[(1/x)+(1/y)]/(y/x)
[(x+y)/(xy)]*(x/y)
(x+y)/y^2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
for e.g
NOT I am guessing you mean this and not
=
=
Now you can cancel the common X to give you
which is your final answer.
