Question 35331: If my first calculation is right, my second doesn't seem to make sense. Can anyone help?
A virus is released on 100 computers. The virus grows according to

P(t)=(100)2t/2 where t represents the # of hours from the time of
introduction.
1. What is the doubling time for this virus?

My calculation:
4. P(t) = (100)2t/2
200=(100)2t/2
2=2t/2
2=t
Answer: 2 hours
2. How long will it take for the virus to infect 2,000 computers according to
this model?
My calculation:
5. 2000=(100)2t/2
20=2t/2
4=t
Answer: 4 hours

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
for the second part
2000 = 1002t/2
2000/100 = 2t2
20 = 2t/2
t = 20 and not 4
