You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"decide whether the pair of lines is parallel, perpendicular, or neither
5x+3y=8
5x+3y=6
I come up with they are parallel is that correct?"

1st line:
5x + 3y = 8
solve for y
3y = -5x + 8
y = (-5/3)x + 8/3, this is y=mx+b form
2nd line:
5x + 3y = 6
solve for y
3y = -5x + 6
y = (-5/3)x + 6/3 = (-5/3)x + 2, this is y=mx+b form

the two lines have the same slope m which is -5/3

and the two lines have different b or y-intercepts (vertical-intercepts) being
8/3 and 2

the lines are parallel since same slope
