Question 352899: Graph the system of inequalities. Find the coordinates of any vertices formed.
1)6x-2y is less than or equal to 12
2)y-3 is less than or equal to 0
3)x+y is greater than or equal to 0
I understand how to graph 1) and 2) but not 3). I understand solid VS shaded lines and what part of the boundries get shaded. I can see with graphing 1) and 2) that they intersect at (3,3).
I do not understand at all how to obtain the vertices. The book says to use graphing, substitution, or elimination.
I appreciate your advice!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3) is just like 1) and 2) except the viable region is ABOVE the line instead of below it

the vertices are where lines intersect
___ you can look at the graphs
___ or you can solve pairs of equations (that's the substitution or elimination)
